Yes, all our sitters must agree to an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, it used to be CRB) check.
If we particularly like a sitter can you guarantee we can have her every time we go out?
We will do everything we can to arrange the same babysitter again, ideally we need as much notice as possible. We try not to send any more than two or three sitters to every family.
Babysitters are not permitted to accept repeat bookings direct from clients; please re-book with Ladysitters, requesting your favourite sitter.
Can we meet the babysitter before we book her?
Unfortunately not, but we take the responsibility of matching your requirements to the right sitter very seriously. We will always give you a profile of the babysitter who will be coming to sit for you. We recommend that you book the sitter a little earlier than you intend to go out, so that you are able to spend some time getting to know them and ensuring your children are comfortable.
Do you charge for cancellations?
Yes, if the sit is cancelled within 24 hours we charge £10.
Is there a minimum booking time?
Yes, for private sits the minimum charge is 3 hours. For hotel sits the minimum charge is 4 hours.
How much notice do you require for bookings?
We are often able to secure babysitters at very short notice, although this can’t be guaranteed especially during peak times of the year. A few days’ notice is ideal.
